Well, I guess ones that have only, or a primary association with Orkney, but it's a tough call on some, I know. I no longer have my edition of Orkney Surnames, but there are close to 300 that Gregor Lamb identifies as being Orcadian. Some like Stevenson and Robertson are common other places as well. So far as the place names based on Orcadian surnames, I'm not looking for a definitive link, just a probable one, since people who emigrate often are joined in the same area by others from their homeland, I imagine there are clusters around the world where there are Orkney place names. I was wondering if people happened to know of any such place names from their research or live near any, I do recall hearing from Canadians about the frequency of Orkney place names in certain regions, but I didn't keep record of them.
