Dear Listers Could anyone please help me link the Surnames "Tait" and "Smellie". My GGGrandfather's name is Andrew Smellie Tait and I know that he was named after someone..... but I'm not sure who. Ackwarding to the 1881 census his mother was Margaret Wick. The Andrew in question was born on the 14.Jan.1847 and died 1911. Does anyone have a copy of the 1851 Census?
