I am searching the Petrie family from South Ronaldsay. John Petrie 1845 married Margaret Matches 1849 married 1869. John is the son of James Petrie (1801-1865) and Betsy Sutherland (1810- 1877). Betsy was the daughter of John Sutherland & Anne Sinclair. James was the son of William Petrie & Barbara Simpson (1776 - 1862). Barbara was the daughter of William Simpson & Madge Manson.
