It all depends upon the scale you require - the best British maps are published by the Ordnance Survey, a moderate scale one is issued for Orkney - well, it comprises three actually, Northern (but if you want the tip of Westray, you will need the next one down as well), Middle and Southern Isles. I find that these are generally sufficient for most purposes. The O.S. also publish a few reprints of C19th. 1" to the mile maps, but I do not know if the one for Orkney is available.
