Hello listers, My GGG grandparents William HEDDLE & Euphemia LEASK were married in 1809 in Stromness. Their daughter Anne Wylie HEDDLE b.1828 m. Thomas RUSSELL in 1855 again in Stromness. I would be interested to hear from anyone researching the same lines. When I first saw the name Euphemia I thought what an unusual name, easier to track than the usual Marys & Anns etc. but from a little look at the records it would seem that Euphemia was quite a popular name in the area at that time, has anyone else found this ?
