    3. Could the spelling be "PETRIE"???. I have been going thru 50 years of census this month for South Ronaldshay and sometimes what you think you are looking at is what you think at all. I found someone with the surname Rofs only to find out later it is Ross. I am searching the Petrie's from all of Orkney so if anyone comes across any in their census research I sure would love the info.
