Are any of you who are on this Orkney-L list, actual residents of the Orkney Islands of Scotland? 2. How can I susbscribe to the Orcadian newspaper? And is it possible to do it via the internet? 3. I am considering coming to Orkney in the near future. Most of my Rusland, Russell, Barnet, Thomson, & Groat ancestors were from Shapinsay & South Ronaldsay. Can anyone give me any advice as to where to stay in that vicinity? 4. I am planning on visiting THE ORKNEY LIBRARY in Kirkwall, Orkney, which was founded in 1683, and is Scotland's oldest Public Library.
