Deb McPherson - I have some information on BEWS in the early 1800s. My line came from a HALCRO marriage to Margaret BEWS in Orphir, 1813. There are also a few BEWSes, SWANNEYs, IRVINEs and LAUGHTONs on my EXTRAs list for the 1891 census. LMKnow a few names you are looking for in these lines.
