David, Thank you very much for the information about researching the tea clipper. However, after composing a letter to the archive, I realized that I don't know how to pay them if they request a fee for looking up information. What is the currency of Newfoundland? Canadian? If I send them an SASE, what postage will I use for return mail? Are the records availabel electronically? Do they have e-mail? (I didn't think they did.) Thanks again, Kate ----- Original Message ----- From: David Armstrong <davidrli@iinet.net.au> To: <ORKNEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 1999 8:56 AM Subject: Re: [ORKNEY] Tea Clipper > The crew agreements should be at the Maritime History Archive, Memorial > University, St John's, Newfoundland. > > Cheers > David, > Perth, Western Australia > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Yarbro Family <yarbro@wctc.net> > To: <ORKNEY-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 1999 10:33 PM > Subject: [ORKNEY] Tea Clipper > > > > A cousin passed away before explaining to anyone what all her genealogy > notes meant.
