To anyone interested in these names I am looking for information on my great grandmother Jessie Abisinia Stott who was born to Abbey Stott (fisherman) and Elizabeth Guthrie. I don't have any info on Abbey Stott however Eliz's mother was a Jessie Guthrie born 1827 in Westray (info from 1881 census). As far as I can tell Jessie Guthrie was the same person as a Jesse Harcus/Hercus b. 1827 Westray to a William and Janet Skae. I think she was living at 51 Lanshaill in 1851 as a servent to George (farmer) and Jean Harcus. She married a George Guthrie around 1850 in Kirkwall.
