Groat - I have Barbara Groat, in Sandwick, South Ronaldsay married James Sinclair 9 Jan 1815 at South Ronaldsay. Also (same generation) George Groat married Isabel Sinclair. Also I have John Baikie who married Mary Banks who was born abt 1785, and other Baikies (later) in the US. Also I have Magnus Louttit born abt 1777 in Orkney, who married 5 Jan 1808 in South Ronaldsay, Elizabeth Allan b. 1784 in South Ronaldsay and they produced Jane Louttit b. 1811, Mary Louttit b. 1813, John Louttit b. 1818, Samuel Louttit (who married Jane Struthers) b. 1820, Elizabeth Louttit b. 1824, and William Louttit b. 1827 - all born in Orkney.
