>My great-grandfather, John Cutt, was an 'agricultural laborer', living with >his family at "Quoy of Hollands", Mirbister, Harray, between 1869 and 1882 >when he moved to Edinburgh. My searches for the deaths of his wife's parents (John and Mary Ann Findlater), who came from Aberdeen, were not productive -- until I found their deaths recorded at Birsay. They must have come from Aberdeen to stay with/near their daughter. However, they died there AFTER the John Cutts had gone to Edinburgh. (They both died in 1887 at Deasbrake, Birsay.) Do these addresses mean anything to anyone? Both families must have been very poor. sue hamilton ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
