I have a book called "The Orkney Story" which has a map still showing a place called Harray in the very middle of West Mainland. I could not get the "multimap" site ( uk.multimap.com) to give me Harray, but it does show Birsay, (north of the Harray Parish) For photos of the area, look at www.galaha.demon.co.uk/index.html#E He advertises that he sells slides of specific spots! I think one of my Cutt relatives might have married a Margaret Flett. They were probably neighbors, anyway.
