My ancestor James Mainland apparently was ' Captain ' of a vessel named the Isabella. It appears he carried cargo amongst the Orkneys in the late 1800s/early 1900's, before 1904. Would there be any sources that might show him as captaining this ship or any records of the ship itself ?
