G'day List I've just started to take part in the list again so I'm checking to see if I have any relatives that have joined in the last few months or so. My g-g-grandparents came to Australia from the Orkney's in 1849 with their nine children. They were :- John SCOTT b. abt 1803 in Eday & Pharay & Mary SHERAR b. abt 1806 in Shapinshay They married in Eday & Pharay on 7 Nov 1827 and my g-grandfather John Scott was born on Eday in 1842 so I presume that's where they lived untill they immigrated. Anybody with any connections? I'm also interested in learning what I can about what life was like on those Islands back then. Regards peter
