    3. Hello Peter, Sorry no I have not come across your Shearer. My connection is William Shearer who married Elizabeth (Betsy) Smith on 10 January 1843 at Hurliness, Walls. Betsy was the sister of my g-g-g-grandfather. All relatives I have traced have been from Walls and Flotta or Caithness only spreading out to the mainland and other places around 1900. Please let me know if there is any connection.
