Hi! Found some Gullion information that may be of interest to you. >From "A Dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to Canada before Confederation - Vol. 2" by Donald Whyte, F.H.G., F.S.G. [published by the Ontario Genealogical Society in 1995. ISBN 0-7779-0919-9 (v.2)] Gullion, George, from Orkney, brother of James Ingram Gullion and John William Gullion. To Hudson Bay after 1850. Employed at Ft. Garry by the HBCo. as a builder of York boats. Gullion, James Ingram, 1839 - 1902. From Eday, Orkney. Entered HBCo. service as a labourer, 1856, and served mainly at Edmonton. Middleman, 1859; sawyer 1861; and boat-builder 1863 - 1874. Married Flora, daughter of Colin Fraser. Gullion, John William "Billy", from Orkney, to Canada after 1860. The above information came from Donald Whyte's correspondence files. A letter to Donald might result in the address of the person who sent in the information. 1995 address: Donald Whyte, 4 Carmel Road, Kirkliston, West Lothian, Scotland, EH29 9DD. If this looks reasonable, I would check the 1841 and 1851 etc. census of Eday to see if you can pick up the family. Also try the IGI and OPR etc. The book also mentions Charles Fraser Gullion 30 Jul. 1827 - 12 Apr. 1911 from Eday, Orkney, son of William G. and Isabella Drever. He went to BC and also worked for the HBCo. No connection to any of the others mentioned in the book. Happy Hunting! Stephen
