My surname is Worke. My grandfather , Henry Lesslie Gladstone Worke was born in India circa 1877 where his father was a British officer. Henrys' family came from the Orkney Islands. He was educated in Victoria College in the Island of Jersy. He had a brother named Frank but no other known siblings. Henry emigrated to Canada about 1908 with his wife Margaret Lindsay Worke nee Turnbull. He died in Alberta, Canada, May 6th, 1939 at age 62. Henrys' grandmother was a first cousin to William Ewart Gladstone, a noted British Prime Minister. Any help with a connection ? Thanks. Bruce Worke papabruce@home.com
