Wondered if anyone would be kind enough to look up census for South Ronaldsay for a Malcolm Ross Brown born 1836.Parents were John Brown and Barbara Ross.They lived at Hallbrake/Haybrake South Ronaldsay. He's not in the 1861 census . There is another Malcolm Ross Brown,born c1857 to a John Brown and Betsy Rosie in the 1861 census at Old Hallbrake and I think I have confused these two people. The John Brown at Old Hallbrake was the son of Edward Brown and Catherine Windwick while the John Brown married to Barbara Ross was the son of John Brown and Catherine Rosie. HELP! fIONA
