Cathy - there was a William Park, son of John Park and his wife Margaret Banks of Burray b.1844... but he may have died, as there seems to be another son William born of this pair, in 1845, I think. This William Park, son of John Park and Margaret Banks, married on So. Ron in 1870 to Jessie Laird, dau of James Laird and Georgina Sutherland. But here is where I think we might be heading... PERHAPS: There was also a William Park, son of Isaac Park and his wife Charlotte Hossack, b.1830, and this Wm married Margaret Rosie [dau of Donald Rosie and his wife Margaret Ballantyne] on So. Ron in 1863. The birth entry on the same page, *notated just above* the birth entry for this William Park [in 1830] is the birth entry for: "Mathew" son of Robert Park and his wife Barbara "Dass"! And just below this William Park's birth entry [same year] is the birth entry for: Betsy Hossack, dau of William Hossack and his wife, Dorothy McDonald. Now, Cathy, you'll have to remind me, but did not your ANDERSON line interconnect with the Hossack & McDonald families? Lisa Just to give a little history on this Park family of mine that might lead to finding out who this William Park is living with them in the USA William Anderson b 1810 Wick, married Mary MacDonald b Jan 1813, marriage date Feb 15, 1838 in Burray, South Ronaldsay Mary's parents were John MacDonald and Margaret MacDonald whom were both from Farr, Sutherland William's parents were James Anderson and Barbara Hossack William Anderson and Mary MacDonald had these children 1. Sinclair Anderson 2. John MacDonald Anderson 3. Jane Anderson 4. Elizabeth Hossack Anderson 5. James Anderson Now Sinclair Anderson married Matthew Park who was born 1831 on Dec 16, 1869 now I do not have copies of these marriages and they probably state parents but I do not have Matthew's parents names. This couple stayed in and died in South Ronaldsay Sinclairs' two brothers John MacDonald Anderson and James Anderson moved to Emporia, Kansas prior to 1869, first settled in Illinois (had a child there in 1869) then by the 1870 Census of Usa were living in Emporia, Kansas, 1875 shows them as well and in 1880 the household reads this 1880 Census of Emporia, Kansas Anderson John M. Age 37 Carpenter born Scotland widow Minnie age 11 daughter Annie age 9 daughter John age 7 son William age 5 son Luther age 4 son Park, William boarder born Scotland age 35 Jennie wife age 31 Kittie age 5 dau Peter age 3 son Anderson, James age 25 born Scotland Emma age 19 born Illinois Frazier, Mary mother in law age 56 born Scotland Mary Frazier is the mother of John MacDonald Anderson's wife, that is now deceased,(they are from Glasgow) Not sure who the William Park is but chances are since his sister is married to a Park that he is related to Matthew Park, James Anderson is another brother to Sinclair Anderson/Park I have pictures of Minnie and Annie probably as young women age 12-16, when Emma wrote to my Jane MacDonald (stating Aunt Jane) in Canada talking of John's wife dying, I got the write up on the death from the paper and she had committed suicide I of course had not followed William Park, had no reason to but if someone is looking for him, I would start here Cathy -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
