G'day all, Margaret Shearer married Thomas Kirkpatrick in 1817 in Canisbay, Caithness. She died in Orphir in 1825. I have no reference to her parents, and the only age I have for her is from the 1821 Census of Orphir which states that she is aged 20-30. This suggests that she was born between 1791-1801. The marriage states "Thomas Kirkpatrick & Margaret Shearer in Mey", thus suggesting a birthplace of Caithness if not Canisbay. Can anyone help with identifying her parents please.
