On July 10th they reached the Brazil Coast, near Pernambuco Latitude 5, 40S / Longitude 34, 50W July 21st - Latitude 7, 48S / Longitude 33, 55W having nothing but light variable airs from the southward all the time off the coast. July 31st - Latitude 29, 43S / Longitude 29, W57 August 9th - Lat.45, 32S / Longitude 6, 24E crossed the meridian of Greenwich, August 14th - Latitude 51, 36S / Longitude 18, 21E being about the longitude of the CAPE OF GOOD HOPE August 21 - Latitude 53, 48S / Longitude 54, 48E August 28 - Latitude 52, 52S / Longitude 90, 7E September 5 - Latitude 49, 3S / Longitude 116, 30E September 11 noon - Latitude 53, 48S / Longitude 54, 48E Made Kangaroo Island about 7.15pm but owing to the strong N.W. wind, with a very high sea, had to stand to the southward all night September 12th - made Kangaroo Island at daybreak next morning.
