As yet, I don't have a marriage record for this pair. But the 1877 birth register for their daughter, Isabella Jane McDonald, has their marriage as "1877 - March 30th - London". I assume this would be London, England, in this case (right, Cathy?). I see an 1885 birth register for their son, William Stewart McDonald, which has a different date and place: "1877 - March 31st - South Ronaldshay". Anyone know the real marriage date and place? Lisa Yes they married in London, I have a copy of the marriage cert They also moved to Australia for a bit And James died a sea......I have his death record tho James MacDonald born Jan 18 1847 Burray, Orkney married Margaret Wishart Stewart March 30 1877 at St. George in the East, London England She was born Oct 6 1855 at Hall, South Ronaldsay He died at sea June 21, 1906, on his way back to Scotland from Australia She died 1922 (only have the stone) St. Margarets Hope Did you want the kids too Lisa??
