Yes, he must have been identified, as I have him listed as "Casualty Type" - Commonwealth War Dead; his plot #33; grave 10 in Kirkwall (St. Olaf's) Cemetery; died May 1, 1944, at the age of 20. Your offer to look him up on the LDS index is much appreciated - I guess the only other thing I need as a reference is his parish of registration & entry number.
