Hi Everyone - Thanks, Fiona, and all, for visiting my site -- I saw my name & site mentioned in the last few days on the List but have not had the focus or interest to add a post or a reply this week as, coincidentally, I've been trying to make sure some of my cousins, also descendants of South Ronaldsay BUDGEs, are safe! They live near New Orleans, and this past week has been very worrisome as I have tried to reach them and find out if they had evacuated/were safe. Till this morning at 3 am, I still had not heard from them -- but now I know, with much relief, that they are safe & in a hotel in Houston. Jenni's father, Jim, & his wife, have this past month been travelling in Scotland and South Ronaldsay/Orkney, but he was travelling without his computer & email, so I have been unable to check with him to verify the whereabouts/safety of his daughter, son-in-law and 13 yr old grandson. He won't return till Sep 7. Perhaps many of you met Jim & Claudia while they were on South Ronaldsay or in Orkney!
