No, they left NOLA on Sun 28th, one car around 4.30 in the morning, another around 2.30pm... the latter (my cousin) spent 14 grueling hrs on her drive for what normally would have been about a 6 hr drive... hundreds of thousands left when evac became mandatory. I think they live(d) in what may be called NW NOLA ('tho they got to go back Mon to get what belongings they could, who knows when they can live there again - if they ever do), and that area remained somewhat dry. My cousin's husband is an engineer for a contractor of NASA (for the space shuttle), and that building took some damage as well.
