I would be grateful if anyone could provide an answer to the following. I have an Anne Sinclair born 15 July 1827 to John Sinclair and Barbara Cromarty. She never married and died 27 Aug 1910 in East End St Margarets Hope. Her death registry states that she was a pauper. I do not think she had any siblings living in South Ronaldsay at the time she died. It was the undertaker who registered the death. My question is if she was a pauper when she died, where is she likely to have been buried and would there be a marker for her grave. I have taken photographs of the Sinclair headstones in St Peters South Ronaldsay and she is not mentioned on any of the stones there. It would be a shame if she was unrecognised. William Sinclair
