I have found the following in the Canadian Archives. It relates to a George Groat supposedly born 1800 South Ronaldsay. He went to The Red River Settlement on or around 1827. His mother and father are not named. I have copies of the affidavit if someone is related to him I can e-mail them. I would also appreciate his parents details and any further information on him.
