There he also invites additional information for his database. James Irvine Thanks James for the above. I just found photos and an obituary for a distant cousin -- George Stout of Stronsay. His mother Jane Leslie was my great-grandmother Margaret Williamson's (b. 12 Oct 1840 Stronsay) first cousin. A bit of irony or perhaps fate that I should find this on Nov 11. My father was also a WW1 participant. Phil Pursley http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/p/u/r/Phillip-R-Pursley/index.html
Hello all Can anyone help me with these queries please, as I am trying to fill in some of my gaps? I have Rev Wm Anderson in the 1861 census at "the Manse" Walls. I assume that would be the Church of Scotland or would it be referring to the Free Church? Which physical church would it be referring to - St John's at North Ness, Walls? Are there any other churches in Walls? If so where are they located? Where would the Manse have been situated, is it still in existance? and lastly ... to which church is the Osmundwall cemetery affiliated? Thank you.
