I don't know how much help this is to you but Jemima Drever is my grandmother. She married Charles T. Stewart. They had one child - my mother - Adelaide Stewart. This may provide some reference point for their descendants, and any knowledge of where and when their ancestors taught would be appreciated. I am not overly familiar with the locations shown, but trust their judgment. For anyone who actually lives in the area and would be willing to help, information on the location of the schoolhouse in Widewall, such as street name and present use (since its not longer used as a school) would be much appreciated. A picture of it today would be wonderful. Evelyn- Would you know if your grandmother taught school on South Ronaldsay during the [latter part of the] time period of 1892-1899?? I see that "Pupil Teachers" were often of the ages of 17-23, and your grandmother would have been approximately... age 17 to 19 during the years of 1897-1899?
