Am sitting at the 'Flotta' computer in the Kirkwall Library right now. Have been here only 3 days, its Stromness Shopping week, we missed a few sunny days, is a bit wet and dampish, but not slowing anyone down. Staying in Finstown at the moment, will be in Kirkwall and hiding in the Archive room upstairs Monday to Wednesday. Hope to check out a few of the very early Orcadian newspapers for any mention of Joseph HALCRO's return from America in December of 1853. Slight chance at best, but worth a look. Am absorbing as much as I can this trip, we never know if the next journey will actually happen no matter how well its planned. MegG in OK [currently MegG in ORK]
