Evening Herald Klamath Falls, Oregon January 27, 1923 OLD INDIANS BLIND Mr. and Mrs. Blain John Undergo Operations to Restore Sight Two ancient and picturesque Indians seen frequently on the streets here, the woman leading the man with a cane, are Mr. and Mrs. Blain John of the Klamath Reservation, both of whom are nearly blind and are undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Operations were performed on the eyes of both, but whether they were successful will not be known until the bandages are removed within the next three weeks. The old people are resting easily, however, and find living in a hospital a new and novel experience. John, afflicted with cataracts, has been virtually blind, and his wife, only slightly less so. _________________________________________________________________ MSN Life Events gives you the tips and tools to handle the turning points in your life. http://lifeevents.msn.com
