Herald and News February 22, 1957 Yreka - Last rites for Carl Ernest Fiock, 69, Montague rancher, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from Girdner's Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Coleman of the Methodist Church officiating. Siskiyou County sheriff's deputies said he apparently killed himself with a 30-30 rifle at 10:45 a.m. Monday. Fiock had been under a doctor's care for some time. Born in 1888 near the present Fiock ranch, he was the son of George and Mary Fiock, Montague area pioneers. He leaves 4 sons and 4 daughters, Mrs. Mary Simmons of Yreka, Mrs. Catherine Smith of Montague, Mrs. Faith Pruett of Bordentown, N.J., Mrs. Thelma Davis of Reedsport, Ore., Carl E.
