    3. Evening Herald June 22, 1927 Maude Chester, aged 21 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Chester of Beatty, passed away in this city following an illness of four days. In addition to her parents she is survived by a brother, Luke Chester, and a sister, Mrs. Eutra Chocktoot, all of Beatty. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the graveside in Mosekekaset Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Evening Herald April 19, 1937 Luke Chester of Sprague River is in Beatty with a crew of men building a driveway from the highway to the garage at the Beatty Agency headquarters. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Evening Herald August 22, 1938 Luke Chester and C.C. Carlson were drivers of cars in an accident on the Klamath-Lakeview Highway. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Herald and News March 13, 1959 Funeral services for Luke Francis Chester, 56, a lifelong resident of Klamath County and a prominent member of the Klamath Tribe, will be held from the Beatty Methodist Church on Monday, March 16, at 11 a.m. Ward's Klamath Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Final rites and interment will be in Masekesket Cemetery. Mr. Chester died March 10 in the Hillside Hospital following a long period of ill health. His home was in Klamath Falls. He was at one time a tribal delegate on Indian affairs to Washington, D.C., and had served as a member of the tribal council on the Klamath Reservation. Survivors include his daughters, Florence Chester, Dolores Hood, Marcia Toby, Pasculita Thompson and sons, Gerald F. Chester and Garold R. Chester and Gary L.
