Herald and News March 30, 1965 GIVAN RITES HELD HERE Funeral services for Dallas Gordon Givan Jr., of Henley, were held in Ward's Klamath Funeral Home at 1 p.m., Monday, March 29. Final rites and interment were in Mt. Laki Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leland Stoehsler, Ted Lubbe, Vincent Cheyne, Ed Osborne, Tulelake, Vernon McNair, Beatty, and Lee Decker, Bly. Mr. Givan, 37, died at the family home in the Henley district March 25. He was a past president of the Klamath Reservation Jaycees, had been named Farmer of the Year in 1962, was President of the Klamath County Junior Rodeo Association for two years, after assisting with its organization, was a member of the Soil Conservation Board, was a member of Klamath Falls Lodge #1247 BPOE, and attended the Mt. Laki Presbyterian Church. During the Korean War he served as a forward observer in the Signal Corps. He was engaged as a logger before coming to the Henley district to farm. Survivors include the widow, Ida Lee; sons, Dallas H., and James J.; a daughter, Ann Jane, all of Henley; mother, Mrs. Inez Griffin, Henley; father, Dallas Givan Sr., Beatty; sisters, Martha Cassidy, Baker, and Patricia Shaver, Woodland, California. _________________________________________________________________ Best Restaurant Giveaway Ever!
