Evening Herald November 15, 1932 Mrs. Mollie Snipes, wife of Lee Snipes, passed away Sunday morning following a brief illness. Mrs. Snipes was a native of Modoc County, Calif., and was the daughter of Doctor Johnie. She was aged about 48 years when called. Two sisters, Mary Pedie of Likely, Calif., and Emma Patterson of Bieber, Calif., a brother, Arthur Jackson of Marysville, Calif., a granddaughter, Bertina Isaacs, and her husband survive her. Tentative funeral arrangements are for services to be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Williamson River Church, following which interment will be made in Wilson Cemetery. ------------------------------ Evening Herald November 15, 1932 Mrs. Mollie Snipes, wife of Chief Lee Snipes who is a well known Indian character of the Klamath Country, passed away Sunday at her reservation home, following a brief illness. She was a native of Modoc County, Calif., and was a daughter of Doctor Johnie, a famous witch-doctor of his tribe. Besides her husband, Mrs. Snipes is survived by two sisters, Marie Pedie of Likely, Calif., and Emma Patterson of Bieber, Calif., a brother, Arthur Jackson of Marysville, Calif., and a granddaughter, Bertina Isaacs. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Williamson River Church. Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery. ----------------------------------------------- Evening Herald November 16, 1932 The funeral cortege of Mrs. Molly snipes will leave her late residence near Modoc Point Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 and proceed to the Williamson River Mission, where Rev. Mr. Bradshaw will officiate at the last rites, which will be held at 2:30.
