Klamath Republican February 22, 1912 WIFE APPEALS AS HUSBAND DIES Sheriff William B. Barnes is this afternoon in receipt of a telegram from the wife of R.H. White, telling of his death from consumption at Yuma, Ariz., and asking for funds. The Whites are well known Indians and went to Yuma last fall in the hope of benefitting the health of the husband. The sheriff is unable to meet the request for the amount asked by Mrs. White and believed publication might induce friends of the couple to come forward and help them. Following is the telegram: "Mr. R.H. White died last night and we are in need of some money to ship his body back home. We will pay you back as soon as we reach the Falls. Can you send $500? Telegraph immediately.." _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected?
