    3. Evening Herald March 16, 1937 The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Jackson of Chiloquin passed away at the Klamath Agency at a late hour Sunday evening, March 14. Besides his parents he is survived by three sisters, Alfreda and Victoria George and Mary Ann Jackson; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jackson, all of Chiloquin; a grandmother, Mrs. Mattie George of Beatty. The funeral service will take place in the Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, March 17 at 11 a.m., the Rev. B.W. Johnson of Chiloquin, officiating. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Herald & News Klamath Falls, Oregon February 20, 1945 The names of two Klamath Indian men are listed among those wounded in action in the European Theatre. Private Larson Lee Jackson, 22, U.S. Army paratrooper, was wounded in action in Europe and is now in a hospital in France, according to information sent his mother, Mrs. Pearl George Jackson, Beatty. Larson Lee enlisted in the paratroops June 1943. He is a graduate of Beatty Grade School, attended Bonanza High School and was graduated from Chemawa Indian School at Chemawa near Salem, Oregon. He is one of a large family and has one brother in the service, Roland Jackson, U.S. Navy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Evening Herald January 10, 1940 Joseph Thurman Jackson, a resident of Chiloquin, passed away in Gridley, Calif., on Monday, January 8, at 12:30 p.m. The deceased was a native of the Klamath Reservation and aged 33 years, 10 months and 17 days when called. He is survived by his wife, Dorthy; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jackson; brothers, Alvin, Harley, and Felix Jackson; sisters, Mrs. Naomi Crain, Annabel Jackson and Patricia Jackson; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jackson; uncle, Patrick Jackson; also 6 nieces and 1 nephew. +++++ Evening Herald January 11, 1940 The funeral service for the late Joseph Thurman Jackson will take place from the residence of the deceased's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jackson at Chiloquin on Friday, January 12 at 10 a.m. The Rev.
