Herald and News May 7 1981 Milburn "Jarvie" Clarence Riddle, 66, Chiloquin, died Sunday and his wife, Mildred D. Riddle, 63, Chiloquin, 63, Chiloquin, died Tuesday, both in Klamath Falls. Mr. Riddle was born March 14, 1915, in Klamath Falls. He was raised here and also spent a number of years in Coos Bay. He worked for many years in the woods with the Bly Logging Co., driving heavy equipment used in maintaining logging roads. He also worked for the State Highway Dept., driving truck. Mr. Riddle helped to develop Moore Park. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a member of the National Rifle Association and believed strongly that it was his right, as a citizen to keep and bear arms. During WW II, he was wounded while fighting in New Guinea. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mrs. Riddle was born July 13, 1917, at Klamath Agency. She attended schools in Chiloquin and also attended Chemawa, an Indian school in Salem. She made donations to numerous Indian organizations. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening and was involved in many community activities. Mrs. Riddle was an active member of the Williamson River Methodist Church. Survivors include their sons, Bernie, Steven and James of Chiloquin; their daughters, Sheila Hill and Millie Gonzales of Klamath Falls; also 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Riddle also is survived by his brothers, Bob of Molalla and Albert of Gates, and his sisters, Edith Cook of Phoenix, Frances Jacob of Bridge, Reva Billings of Port Orford and Vella Jarvis of Stockton, Calif. Mrs. Riddle also is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Witcraft and Susan Lotches of Chiloquin, and her brothers, Chauncey Lotches of Chiloquin and Dally Lotches of San Jose, Calif. Services for the Riddles wil be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chiloquin Assembly of God Church, with concluding services and vault interment at the Wilson Cemetery in Chiloquin.
