Herald and News December 1, 1954 Mrs. Rose (Walter) Kerrigan, prominent member of the Klamath Tribe and a native of Chiloquin, died at the family home in Ashland early Tuesday morning, Nov. 30. She would have been 74 years old on Dec. 26. Mrs. Kerrigan had been ill for some time and had been in the Ashland Hospital a few days before her death. She had visited relatives at Chiloquin last week. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Kerrigan moved to Ashland in Aug. 1939. Mrs. Kerrigan was the mother of 14 children, 3 of whom survive in addition to her widower. A daughter, Mrs. Edward (June) Poitras; sons, Orville and Harry Wright; 38 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; two half-sisters, Mrs. Pansy Ohles and Mrs. Viola Rugg. She was a member of the Methodist Indian Mission of Williamson River. Tentative plans for funeral arrangements are for graveside services at 10:30 a.m. Thurs., Dec. 2 at the Wilson Cemetery, Williamson River, with the Rev.
