Evening Herald April 29, 1942 JAMES JACKSON James Jackson, prominent Klamath Indian, whose family said he had passed the 90-year mark, died at his home on Williamson River near Chiloquin Tuesday morning. Mr. Jackson had spent his entire lifetime on the Klamath Reservation where he had extensive stock operations at one time. His wife, Ruth, 85, survives as do 2 sons, Pat and Harry, all of Chiloquin. Funeral services will be held from the Pat Jackson residence Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mildred Miller officiating. Entombment will take place in the Hill Cemetery ++++++ Evening Herald April 29, 1942 James Jackson, lifelong resident of the Klamath Reservation, passed away at his late residence near Chiloquin on Tuesday, April 28. The deceased was a native of the Klamath Reservation and was aged 90 years when called. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; 2 sons, Pat and Harry; brother, Jason H., all of Chiloquin, sister, Jeanette Davis, Modoc Point; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will take place from the Pat Jackson residence near Chiloquin on Friday, May 1, at 1 p.m., The Rev. Mildred Miller officiating. There will be a morning service also. The remains will rest in state at the residence Thursday evening.
