Evening Herald April 3, 1914 Klamath Agency Alex Wilson, accompanied by his wife, made a trip to Klamath Falls and back behind the iron horse. This was the first time that Alex ever rode in a train, and he says it is the easiest trip he ever made. He has made many tiresome drives to the Falls, but likes the locomotive route the best. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Evening Herald December 17, 1914 Model Indian Visits In Town, Alex Wilson, Old Timer On Reservation, Has Always Stood High With The Indian Service Officials Alex Wilson, one of the most respected old Indians on the Klamath Reservation, has just returned to the reservation, after a short visit here, during which time he purchased supplies for the winter. "Alex has long borne the reputation of being a model Indian," said Captain O.C. Applegate today. "In spite of his years, he has kept away from whiskey and gambling, the Indians's worst habits, and he has never been in any trouble. "His brother, Hunter Wilson, was the head Indian on the reservation years ago, and Alex always upheld his brother.
