As a further note, we have a good friend who is having trouble with cancer, and is very sick, they took her to Klamath Falls from Alturas, because of the facilities, so what I said about Tulelake is also true of NorthEastern California in general. Had she died there, the death records would be in Oregon, and not California. Always try the mortuary also, if there is one in Tulelake, someone could die in Klamath, but it may have been handled in Tulelake. I have had good luck with the mortuary in Alturas in some of the same situations. My parents lived near Tulelake, and are both buried in Klamath Falls, they died in K-Falls hospital. I think this could be true of many people in the Tulelake area, as there are no major hospitals nearby, except for Klamath. Ruthie, I see from the descendants of John Allen Henderson, that there are some connections in Linn County, and up around that way. To Ruth Henderson, Tony Kirk, Harold Cox and JoAnn: Thanks for your responses. Ruth - The type of story you cited are always welcome. Thanks. Tony - I only know "Red" BRITTON by the nickname. I know James BRITTON is a connection I'm looking for. I don't know if he is "Red," or possibly a brother of his. Harold - Great story. If this Red BRITTON died in 1952 it is not the one I'm looking for but possibly connected in some way. It wouldn't surprise me at all. My father-in-law, Joseph Elza BRITTON (nephew to the original James BRITTON in Klamath Co.) was an avid hunter, and my brother-in-lay, James Lewis BRITTON is a hunter and an expert archer and marksman.
