Erik, your message has confused me a little. My comment "Her grandfather (on her mother's side) came from England with William Penn when he settled in America." Catherine's grandfather on her mother's side would mean the father of Anthony's wife. Are you saying that the parents of Sarah Hatfield were both German? Hi Phyllis and all, From: "jvines" <jvines@charter.net> Sent: Sunday, July 06, 2003 6:39 AM > Erik, your message has confused me a little. Phyllis And earlier, From: "jvines" <jvines@charter.net> Sent: Thursday, July 03, 2003 4:20 PM snip > The Coon History gives a genealogical chart giving these vitals for Joseph and Catherine: > Joseph Coon b. 4 Apr 1720 near Philadelphia, ... > He married about 1748 Catherine Cunread born about 1732 near Philadephia, PA > d/o Anthony Cunread (Coonrod) b. 1710. It appears from the above two quotes that you are thinking that the Anthony Conrad who is said to be the father of Catherine was married to Sarah Hatfield. However, the Anthony Cunrad who married Sarah Hatfield (in May 1733) is not known to have had a daughter Catherine. The abstracts of his will (March 8, 1747/8) and of his half-brother, Joseph, (March 12, 1798) list his children but do not include a Catherine. A better lead for you would might be the Anthony who was the son of Madtis Conders and Barbara Tyson that Erik mentioned. However, Erik also said "we do not know if he had issue".
