I don't know if this will be helpful to you but here is a copy of a letter I recently sent to the Lycoming County Courthouse. I have not yet received a reply. If you learn anything, let me know. B.K. Uptagrafft Lycoming County Courthouse 48 W 3RD ST UNIT 1 Re: William Updegraff Williamsport, PA 17701-6514 ATT: Register or Recorder My name is Burnell K. Uptagrafft. I am working on my genealogy and have old court records from Lycoming County, PA., which include a "Bill of Information" dated 4 October 1891 charging William Updegraff with murder (and/or) attempted murder. With relation to this action, I also have a copy of a subpoena to Edward Derr, Jemella Derr and Reb Derr as well as a copy of a "Schedule of Property" of William Updegraff filed June 3, 1892. My great-great grandfather was Lathrup William Uptagrafft, a descendant of Herman Op Den Graeff who immigrated to America in 1683. (One of the Original 13 German Immigrants who founded Germantown, PA.) I am trying to establish the relationship of the subject William Updegraff and to discover the details and outcome of the proceedings relating to these court records. Is there anyone who can help me? Thank you for your prompt reply. B.K.
