Hi, Anyone on this list know of the MAYBERRY/MAYBURY surname, and how it might connect to the Up De Graeffs/UpDeGraff/OpDenGraeffs/Updegroves- Pennybackers/Pennybakers-DeHavens of this time period of Orig 13. Several years ago sometime back in 1995, I corresponded with a Joe Patterson of Pennsylvania. I'm hoping to make contact with him again, so anyone reading this and knowing if he is still around let me know of his email address. He used to know a lot about this family line. I ran onto some UP De Graffs in Frederick, Maryland who were prominent people of that city, who owned and operated a Merchantile business in that city. Also, some other members of the family owned and operated other similiar type businesses, back in the 1840's 50's thru 1880's maybe also later times. The MAYBERRY's were connected to the Pennybackers thru Dirk Pennybacker's Wife Rebecca, whose mother was Hannah DeHaven. Peter J. Mayberry died in 1902 in Baltimore and buried in Rose Hill at Hagerstown, Maryland and it was published in the local paper as the pallbearers were all cousins two cousins were named as George F. Up De Graffs and Ed M. Up De Graff. Peter J. Mayberry's grandparents were Justinian Mayberry & Mary Ann Houser of Frederick, Maryland. I am trying to find out who the parents of Justinian Mayberry were, he (Justinian) was a Captain on the Maryland Militia during the war of 1812. Any info on this would also be appreciated. Thanks, Frank Mayberry ggggrandson of Justinian & Mary Ann Mayberry ----- Original Message ----- From: <MLATCLEM@aol.com> To: <ORIGINAL-13-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 23, 2003 4:49 PM Subject: Re: [ORIGINAL-13] The Palatinate | Hi Linda Kyle, | | We also are likely some sort of kin through the Op Den Graeffs (Uptegroves, | Updengrove, Upthegrove, etc.).
