    3. Am looking for a marriage of a JACOB Dehaven to possibly a HUNSBERGER. Other Family connections as shown in the title. would have been about 1786/87 ish.... From a long list of tax records Barb Wentz compiled.... Tax Records: [Montgomery Co. PA Archives Ð microfilm of Tax Lists. These lists start in 1785 (Montgomery County formed 1784 from Philadelphia County) and did include acres; however Jacob was never taxed with acres] JACOB taxed as single through 1786 and is on regular tax list 1787. IN 1797..... this JACOB Taxed Limerick, 1h and 2c, and for HUNSBERGER'S Est. 140A [IS THIS Possibly the estate of his wife's father/mother??] This MAY be a clue as to who this Jacob born abt 1761 married. [ I believe this to be Jacob of Amity Twp Berks who came to Limerick Twp by 1785 single ] per Barbara Wentz's work..... 1790 Census: Montgomery County, all other townships (Historical Society of Montgomery County has penciled in the townships; Jacob is in Limerick Township. 2 males over 16, 1 male under 16, 2 females ANY HELP APPRECIATED..... PS. This is NOT the Jacob Dehaven of Skippak who married CATHEINE ELISABETH FREY in 1787. He was born about the same time ... some data show there was one son and three daughters in this family.. [Father Garret DeHaven and mother Anna {Frey or Pawling?} DeHaven shown on marriage Cert.] Many show JACOB of Amity/Limerick, married to a Catherine Frey, but have recently gathered evidence that the above Jacob. Of course there COULD be another Catherine Frey this one married....??? [Have seen one born 1765??] [MORE on Jacob, son of Garret II Dehaven if anyone interested...] -- joe

    3. I looked in the latest edition of the Hunsberger Book to see if any Dehaven descendants were listed. There is only one who is 10th generation. However there are a few Hunsberger daughters of roughly the time period you are interested in who had no accounts of husbands or children at the time of publication. Of course since then someone may have found what happened to them. The Hunsberger Family Association has a website: www.hunsberger.org This will give you information about who you could get in touch with to find out if anything has been found about these daughters.
