The name variation is not the problem, it goes deeper than that. One concern in particular I have is that after contacting people who have traced their names to DeGraeff & Graff, they did not recognize, or trace to "Op den Graeff". That's not to say that none have, but I would like to know if anyone ever has. But I do remember reading in June Lutz's material (from excerpt from a transcript of article, not written by her) of a DeGraeff being a relative of the three brothers, but that is the only reference to it I have ever heard.
