Greetings, searchers: As some of you are aware, I am planning a trip to Krefeld, Germany later this month. In doing some research in preparation for the trip, I came across the fact that Charlotte, NC is a sister city to Krefeld, and there is a page devoted to Krefeld on Charlotte's website. The URL is: http://www.charweb.org/organizations/international/sister_cities/krefeld.html It mentions a "Philadelphia House," which was erected in honor of the 13 families which settled Philadelphia (Germantown). Does anyone know of this Philadelphia House from your travels or reading? I have heard of the Philadelphiastrasse, and in fact have a picture of that sent by someone on the previous Original-13 list, but nothing about the house. Anyone??? David Updegraff [email protected]
