Alright. Since this was mentioned to the group, I will give the answer to the group. There is totally no envy here. The trouble is that cyberspace is hard to evaluate by everyone. It was not meant as a slur to the chinese, it was not meant as a slur to the Germantown Historical Society, it was none of these. It was just a gag, based on the times. Everything that a tourist may pick up seems, these days, to be made in China. For instance, I work for the National Radio Astronomy Observatory. We have built a group of telescopes called the VLA. The very large array. It featured in that corny movie (which I had the good sense not to go see) called CONTACT with Jodie Foster in it. Sorry if you liked that movie. It is just how I see it. The VLA is at its 20th year. Hence, 20th year celebration stuff is being released. We all got a tie-pin. Guess where it was made? Now you know why the joke.
